PERSONAL | beer day

Last Saturday the boys decided to brew beer at home. This plan has been a long time coming because I remember Roman mentioning this on our first date.

Day kicked off with some homemade crêpes made by me!

Now to wait...and in a few weeks they'll have 6 litres of home-made IPA.

TRAVEL | ninh binh

These were taken towards the end of the trip. Only backstory for photos is that I was crazy sick this day--high fever, runny nose...the whole shebang.

Ninh Binh was actually quite lovely--and only a short 2 hour train ride from Hanoi. Unfortunately I was bed-ridden for the first half of the day. While I was recovering in bed, Roman rented a motorbike and explored the town first. He came back later in the afternoon, and since I felt better, whisked me off on a short bike ride.

TRAVEL | vietnam in december

Roman and I visited Vietnam back in December for two weeks. I've never traveled without planning ahead of time so it was a nice change of pace to let some one else handle it the whole time. In the end I ended up leaving the camera home most of the time (I didn't even take many photos with my phone) so here's only a few shots from third day before I stashed all tech away.

BERLIN | kottbusser tor

I think it's about time that Berlin get's its own category on the blog, considering how much time I spend and will spend there in there in the following months, and hopefully years.

I arrived about a week and a half ago and have just been taking it easy and getting myself reacquainted with the city. I did end up wasted a lot of time getting over the jetlage this time around, so I was pretty much useless for the first couple of days.

The other day I finally felt good enough to take my camera out for a spin. I never regretted not taking many photos during the summer (even though the city was gorgeous) because I was having such a blast trying to live in the moment for once. Not that I'm not doing it now, but I miss shooting, even if it's of arbitrary things. So here's my little visual diary of sorts from Feb 22nd--all I did was head out to Kottbusser Tor to hangout at my usual haunts.

As unremarkable as it is, I really like Roman's apartment/building and
neighbourhood. There's a certain cozy quality to it, plus he told me once
that this building was built pre-WWII, so it's essentially ancient!

Forgot to check what kind of flowers these were. I saw them being displayed
,in full bloom, at an & other stories storefront and they were so beautiful...

I'm pretty bummed that this turned out blurry. I still have so much trouble
being discrete when photographing strangers. The astigmatism in my eyes
aren't exactly helping either.

TRAVEL | stockholm

So much for getting my act together and finishing up the series before 2016 ended. Oh well, I'm still going to get these posted and sorted for the zines. I want to get those completed and printed soon as I'll be graduating later this year.

All I really remember about Stockholm was it was freezing. And since it was too cold to do too much sight seeing, I spent most of my days drinking coffee and eating cinnamon buns (Kanelbullar).
